As far as internet video quality is concerned, 1080p is the standard, and the average download speed of mobile internet users in the United States is 22.69 mbps (according to speedtest.net). 4K footage is certainly more detailed, but its file size and the download speed required to watch it seamlessly makes it an inconvenient resolution until the nation's average internet speed increases.
